Happy Summer Everyone!

I went kayaking this morning! I love to get up early to be on the water when the sun is coming up. What a way to start the day!


Talking about nice days they will be coming to an end soon. Did you gain weight over the summer? Summer time BBQs, ice cream, and travel can all put more then a few pounds on you. But kids are back in school and the Holidays are coming up fast. Spend some time on YOU!!!

We have a challenge for you. We are having a Holiday Party on Friday December 6th. We challenge you to set a goal for that date. Let us know what your goals are and how we can help you get there. And than, wear something fun, cool, something that you wouldn’t usually wear. We will go shopping with you or to your closet to help you find that just right outfit!

If you haven’t been to one of our party’s you are missing out. There will be food, drink, music, photos for your Holiday cards, and much more so put in on your calendar!

Tips to help you eat better.

             To get you stared commit to eating only fruits and veggies and non-processed foods for a week.

             Week two and until December, no sugar! That’s right no pop, candy, or sweets.

             Eat on a small plate and don’t go back for seconds.

             Limit your alcohol to no more than one drink a week.

Tips for exercise.

    Sign up for an up coming event. It will give you something to focus on.

    Put it in your calendar! No excuses! Just Do IT! It’s your time!

    Choose exercises you like.

    Get outside, go to the park, it’s good for the soul.

    Exercise with a friend.

    Take the stairs (at Alum Creek). 😉

     Eat lunch for 30 minutes and exercise for 30 minutes.

    Make it fun (come to Elite Physiques).

    Keep an exercise log.

    Reward yourself (with a new outfit for the party).

Watch for the home and travel exercise video coming later this week! I am also going to put my get lean eating plan up. So stay tuned!

Strawberry Yogurt Recipe

Makes 6 – 4 ounce servings

1 pound frozen strawberries1 cup plain yogurt¼ cup sugar

Put frozen strawberries in food processor and blend until minced. Add yogurt and sugar and puree. Serve immediately.

Store it in a container in your freezer for future consumption.

Using low fat yogurt = 86 calories, 0.5 g fat, 17.7 g carbohydrates, 15.7 g sugar, 2.3 g protein, 1.5 g fiber, 29 mg sodium
