Boy did I love sugar!
As a matter of fact I still do. Do you know the best way to stop eating bad food? Learn about what’s in it! This is my number 1 tip! The more I read labels and learn about what is in my food I eat, the better I eat.
Tip 1) Know what is in your food
* Brain damaging Food Dyes
Many artificial food dyes are found in our foods. They are made from petroleum-derived materials. These dyes are used in cereals, candy, syrup, and almost anything you see that has color. Consuming these dyes has been linked to ADHD and can impair brain function.
* A zero-calorie artificial sweetener made by combining two amino acids with methanol. Most commonly used in diet soda, aspartame is 180 times sweeter than sugar. It is found in more than 6,000 grocery items including diet sodas, yogurt, and the table-top sweeteners NutraSweet and Equal. Aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Many of these reactions are very serious, including seizures and death. There are over 90 different documented symptoms from this poison sweetener. My husband used to drink diet sodas until he watched Sweet Misery. Check it out!
* Titanium Dioxide
A component of the metallic element titanium commonly used in paints and sunscreens. The food industry adds it to hundreds of products to make overly processed items appear whiter like processed salad dressing, coffee creamers, and icing.
* Beaver Anal Gland Juice
It is a bitter, smelly, orange-brown substance known as castoreum, explains Bradley. “In nature, its combined with the beaver’s urine and used to mark its territory. It is used in processed food and beverages, typically as a flavoring. This gross ingredient won’t show up on the label. Instead, companies using it in making processed food list it as “natural flavoring.”
Some others are Fish Bladders In Your Beer, Paint Chemical in Salad Dressing, Maggots in canned Mushrooms, I could go on and on, but I want to give you some other tips on how to stop craving bad foods.
Tip 2) Think about it before you buy it
This one works for me! If I think about how I am going to feel after I eat something. This works better for me than thinking about where it is going on my body. For example, if I have sugar at lunch I will feel tired and yawn all afternoon. Not a good thing when you are working with other people, they will think they are boring you.
Tip 3) Drink water
Fortunately, a craving only lasts between five and twenty minutes. Drink lots of Water and it will go away and it gives you something to do.
Tip 4) Wear tight clothes
This one always works for me. I just need to eat a small amount and I can feel my waist getting bigger and then I stop eating the bad stuff.
Tip 5) Workout
After working out with weights I am not hungry however, if I do too much cardio I am more hungry. So pay attention to how your workout affects you.
Tip 6) Brush your teeth
Brush your teeth after eating lunch and dinner. You will be less likely to eat the bad snacks.
