The First Step to Personal Training is a C.H.E.K.™ Assessment

Institute far surpass anything in the health and fitness educational industry. The assessment we provide at Elite Physiques is a C.H.E.K. assessment, and as such is a very thorough review intended to uncover your individual strengths, weaknesses and imbalances.

We provide two levels of assessments: a one hour and a 2.5 to 3 hour assessment. The longer assessment includes everything that the one hour assessment includes, plus more.

What Information Does an Assessment Provide?

An assessment is a comprehensive flexibility test that measures joint angles throughout the client’s body. Every joint has a certain ROM (range of movement) and when comparing the right side to the left side and against the norm we can determine if there is a significant difference between them. Also, if discrepancy is present, it often gives the practitioner a window of what is going on through the client’s body. Usually if the client is complaining of chronic pain this test will give a clear indication of what is causing the pain.

The practitioner will be supplied with enough information about the different imbalances within the client’s body to design a comprehensive program to bring the body back into balance. By bringing the body back into balance, it will function more efficiently reducing chronic pain and restoring optimal function. The resulting program that is created will be a combination of specific flexibility and corrective exercises as a single program or a series of programs to restore the body back to balance.

A Certified High-performance Exercise Kinesiologist (C.H.E.K.) is trained to bring any individual to his or her optimal function and performance regardless of your profession and activity level. As the C.H.E.K. practitioner at Elite Physiques, I will supply you and your trainer with an exercise program that will be professionally designed to your specific needs.
