2016 is here! This means another 365 day of getting fitter and healthier.
I don’t know about you but I look forward to getting more fit as I get older and doing something different. This list of health, fitness, and food trends for 2016 are from ACSM American College Of Sports Medican, IDEA, ACE and other blogs that I follow.
Wearable technology
The trend of a continued increase in weight gain and the need to be competitive with yourself or someone else is driving up wearable technology. Devices like the Fitbit, Jawbone, Nike FuelBand, and Apple products are hot and everyone wants one. I have the Fitbit and it works. If I don’t reach my goal at the end of the day I will run up and down my steps until I get them, if I didn’t have it I would sit and read or watch TV. For more information you can go to Wearable trends.

Meals in bowls
We are seeing recipes all over Pinterest of meals in bowls. I love them! They are easy to make and most recipes use fresh ingredients and look Yummy! You will be seeing cookbooks this year with nothing but meals in bowls,so keep your eyes open. You can find 10 protein bowls on Dr Oz’s web site.

Wearing sweetpants and workout wear
Yes, again you are going to see more casual comfortable look in everyday fashion. I love all the new workout clothes but sometimes I think it can be too much. Wearing tight workout pants out shopping that you can see through when you bend over is not attractive. Bend over and look in the mirror before you leave the house and cover your butt outside the gym.
Matecha Tea
Yoga instructors and Paleo followers are drinking it up and yes, you will soon find it at Star bucks. This powdered green tea in starting to show up everywhere. Reasons to drink the tea are, it’s high in antioxidants, increases energy, helps with detox and weight loss, and it’s an immunity booster according to NDTV FOOD.

Whole foods list of food trends
I like and agree with Whole Foods list. Some of the things I buy now and will contenue to buy are grass-fed everything, dehydrated foods, fermented and probiotics foods and drinks. You can read more at Whole Foods predicts.
